At Diamond L Veterinary Service, we offer a variety of affordable services to help with the care of your pet. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can help care for your pet, please contact us at our office and one of our friendly staff members will be happy to assist you.

Exams and Consultations

During your visit our staff will take the time to learn about your pet, their diet, prior medical history and their specific health care needs. Our team will help formulate a well pet preventative plan based on your pets lifestyle or formulate a diagnostic protocol that will aid in diagnosis of medical issues. A complete physical examination will be conducted by our veterinarian and the findings discussed with you, so that you are always aware of what is going on with your pet. A good physical examination annually is a plus since pets age much more rapidly than people. Annual and semi-annual check-ups can be helpful in early detection of health issues before they become serious problems. We love caring for pets and want to help you keep your pets healthy and happy for many years to come.

Nutritional Counseling

Obesity is one of the leading health issues of pets today, as it can be easy to over-feed a pet that knows how to beg. Being overweight is a serious problem for animals, and can cause significant health problems like diabetes, joint pain, etc. With the proper diet and exercise, all pets should be able to live a full and happy life, adding as much as 2 years to their life expectancy. Our veterinary team can help formulate a plan for your pet to keep them in an ideal and fit body condition during all stages of their lives.

Surgery

At Diamond L Veterinary Service, the safety of your pet is paramount. We offer pre-surgical blood screening options prior to surgery to determine the health of your pet before undergoing a surgical procedure. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND these tests as they provide VITAL INFORMATION to us prior to surgery. While under anesthesia, surgical monitoring of your pets vitals is conducted using equipment to measure heart rate, body temperature, respiratory rate and oxygen concentration. Our veterinary team of doctors and nurses will monitor post op recovery and pain management in an effort to keep your pet comfortable. We also realize that it can be stressful to have your pet undergo surgery. The Diamond L Vet team will communicate with you about the procedure before, during and after your pet’s surgery. It is our goal to make the entire process go smoothly, and to eliminate as much of the stress and worry of surgical procedures that we can.

Vaccinations

Each pet is an individual and there are a variety of diseases which can affect our pets and other animals, including us depending on their lifestyles. For these reasons it is important to properly vaccinate your pet. Vaccinations help to protect our pets from serious diseases and from spreading them to other pets and family members. Our vet team can help formulate a wellness/vaccine plan for your pet that will meet their individual health care needs and help keep the whole family safe.
